November 29, 2017- How to get in a studio in London with agent asking 6 months rents

Hello November,

so I found myself a studio, and when I thought I could move in, the agent asks for 6 months rents in advance because my part-time job is not satisfactory enough in his eyes.

Now what?

I need to leave where I stay now, and it is a very busy time to start searching again.

The ideal solution would be another job to manifest right away.

The second, to get Santa sent me the money in advance.

And the third, to keep searching…

Is there another I didn’t already think about?

Feel free to offer some advice!

November 28, 2017- Getting along with real estate agents in London

Hello November,

I have a part-time job and I wanted a studio. In London. Yes.

So, how easy do you think that is?

I tried flatshate, but I am writing a lot, and I need some quiet space.

So?

So, they asked me for a guarantor.

And here I am, asking my new-made friends, for things.

On the other side, it is good to have friends.

I just don’t want to bother them.

Maybe they want to help me.

Maybe they are not bothered at all.

Ok, then I will.

In any case, it is important to move forward and to ask!

November 27, 2017- Environment change necessary for success

Hello November,

I realized I need another quantum leap before Christmas arrive and there is something that will change in my strategy. Ok, I have been writing, following a NaNoWriMo month, but it has gone slowly. I also got myself a part-time job in the art world from January.

These are absolutely great, but not at the pace I need to get myself into the next phase.

And in the middle of everything, I need to find a home.

So, what should I do?

Apparently, “However, when you commit to an enormous goal that far exceeds your current capability, willpower won’t solve your problem. Rather, you’ll need a new environment that organically generates your goals — a context that forces you to become more than you currently are. Once you design the right conditions, your desired behavior naturally follows” as I quote here B. Hardy 😉

November 25, 2017- Happiness by design and purpose

Hello November,

so happiness again has a lot to do with what you do more than what you think. So you’d better do things that give a sense of pleasure and purpose.

Experiences pleasurable and purposeful, combined in the way that is best for everyone.

How do we know about the right dose?

It’s like cooking probably, it has to de with a combination of the ingredients to give a good taste 😉

How can I combine my ingredients?

In a way that I find a point of balance?

November 24, 2017-Studio or one bedroom flat?

Dear November,

it seems that I have found a new place: there is a studio I have flirted with, but now I also like a small one bed. flat. Almost the same square meters, the first is close to a park and the canal, the second close to a market and nice cafés. Similar in terms of price.

I also need to move out asap, but I want to go somewhere I really like, not just take the first thing, no matter what.

Any thoughts?

P.S. They don’t look exaclty like that, at least… not yet 🙂

November 20, 2017-Looking for studio or flatshare in London

Hello November,

I am on the look for a new flatshare or studio in London! Any ideas and suggestions? It seems that I got myself a regular job, to begin with, so this should help.

Hello, I am April, writer looking for a beautiful room or studio in London.

Please feel free to recommend me.

I am friendly, happy-go-lucky, clean and quiet, smiling.

Here it is.

I started looking on-line and spotted some studios, but if by any chance you have any suggestions, they are very welcome!

November 19, 2017- Pizza expectation

Hello November,

the expectation of a nice Italian pizza is a great way to start Sunday, especially if you have some work to do instead of from being lazy and enjoying the frosty morning.

A semi-flirtatious person texted me an emoticon with a kiss and love, only to tell me it was a mistake, and it wasn’t addressed to me. I just raised virtually my shoulders.

This population of semi probably needs evacuation before the end of the month to make space for something more authentic.

So, while waiting for the Italian night a song by a French with Italian origin, I think:

The Warrior Creator or how to be relaxed and productive in the middle of a storm

Hello November,

this inspiring post of David Rogers on  The Warrior Creator

is the best way to start the weekend!

Relaxed and busy, how to stay focused on our work even if there is a storm outside.

So I am ready to put to use David’s advice, and be productive and relaxed way:

there is a short story I want to submit this weekend, and my NaNoWriMo novel is advancing, even a few lines a day.

I don’t need to look at the end, I just focus on the next steps.

November 17, 2017- Produce our best work: asking for feedback, not validation

Hello November,

how do we produce our best work?

I heard a speaker on the importance of combining talents and passions: in other words, not only do what we love, but also, use our talents, what we are good at in the process.

If becoming an astronaut looks good, do I really want to hang from the ceiling like this?

But again, what if I love the result and then I can learn to like or to get over certain inconveniences?

Is it a luxury to think about these issues when we don’t have enough to go around the next day?

No, it isn’t.

Long term thinking, is very important. Daily.

I can see that, because I have everyday practical questions to deal with.

But somehow, it feels that I need to focus on the long-term.

And then, only then, look into my everyday questions.

Writing, is my soul’s desire.

Some of the process has become less spontaneous, due to rejections I had from some publishers.

But is there another reason?

Do I expect validation from others for my work?

Feedback is important, but feedback and validation are two different things.

It’s also up to us to discriminate who is capable of giving good feedback.

If not, it is as if you are a goat and you ask the wolf to become your baby’s godfather.

Think about it twice

November 16, 2017- Birthday updates and Publishing

Hello November, Birthday month,

birthdays are like mini new year-eves, am I on a good path, where did I come from and where am I going? What do I aim for?

Is it happiness?

Abundance?

Health?

Love and family?

And all these considerations with huge amounts of chocolate.

A way to see where we stand, is to ask other people around us.

I have identified a fear of publishing and of sending my work to editors, from an apprehension it might not be accepted.

This will not do.

So, apart from writing every day, finishing work already done and sending it to publishers is a MUST.
