February 18, 2018- How to reload our brain after huge effort

Hello February,

yes, I met my deadline, it was a race against the clock, but I DID it!

What happens next?

I feel slow, sleepy and low energy. Too good its the weekend 🙂

So, how do we reload our brains?

Any ideas?

I found a web site which gives a lot of suggestions, I will take a trial and see how it goes. How about feelings, affection and connexion? Let’s take it one step at a time… 😉

February 4, 2018-How to satisfy my multiple selves on a Sunday

Hello February,

yes, I am out of bed, not at 5.30 as I intended, but at 8.30. And at 11.00 I am still on my coffee time and I am feeling kind of numb. But still, I have already taken a walk.

My neighbour at the cafe has a beautiful notebook, it’s from Argentina. Full of the characters of Liners, an Argentinian artist.

All you can do when you want to take your time.

In Harry Potter, Hermione is given a gift where she can stretch time and clone herself to do many different tasks in parallel universes.

So, let’s see what I would do if I had three selves to perform my tasks.

My first self, would get out of London, to the country side. May be close to the sea, Brighton? but something at 1.30 distance max by train. This self would go there with friends. No, better, this self would go to a type of retreat and spa, with some kind of loose activities and at the same time. This self, would go there with a friend/or romantic interest, and would eat the best food in the area. So, this self, would get back refreshed in mind, body, etc.

The second self, would sleep and then meet with friends or call up those I would like to talk to and see how they are doing. This self would probably go for shopping and would check how clothes fit with one another. She would buy an art book if she doesn’t feel like running to an exhibition.

The third self, would be work focused. She would finish a draft of her project and she would send it to someone to review it by tonight.

Now, somehow, I am my third self, with some wishes from the two others. At least I could identify those two.

Can I satisfy everyone?

In a way, I need to find a compromise.

The busy self, will not move, unless the other two are somehow taken care of.

So, I went for a walk, I looked around.

I will paint later today.

March 20- Singing -almost- in the rain

Of course I am not talking about you dear March,

today it was a half-eclipse half-sunny day. I mean that I was mistaken on the date of my ticket for the musical “Singing in the rain”, at the Châtelet theater in Paris. My friends just texted me: “where are you”? since the performance started half an hour ago.

Well, too bad I wasn’t careful! On the other hand, although tickets are sold out, I might try my luck tomorrow and get in the theater in case someone has changed plans, or got confused – I shouldn’t be the only one in the world.

Where was my mind? Was it the fault of the eclipse? I had been working on a fast rhythm the weeks. After I finished my March 13 challenge there were still things to be done in the next few days, so I decided to relax, go to the hairdresser and walk around the city.

I had been sleeping early in the morning for the last few days and it takes some time to get me back to the old style 🙂

So I am singing by myself as I finish this blog-post, hopping to see the performance tomorrow!

 

 

March 6- Concentration and wandering mind

Dear March,

I have been seriously un-concentrated today, and this is the moment I need to contact people for help. Instead, I was day-dreaming and consuming chocolate in important quantities. A friend will be visiting for the weekend, and my house is messed up, like my mind.

It feels as if I am up on a cloud, observing the things I am to do and instead of acting, I am completely on another planet.

It was sunny today in Paris, and this doesn’t help, especially after days of rain and bad weather.

What was I to do?

I finally declared defeat -just for today- and decided to start cleaning up my place.

The second thing, would be to contact some of my good friends which have been kind of excluded from my life during this period.

And finally, eat well -some vegetables and fruit- and get some rest.
