January 18, 2021- Post-a-day day 11 out of 69

Hello January,

it was snowing this morning, and with the lockdown there is a feeling of being enveloped in a mystic cocoon, kind of hibernating.

On the other hand, I am to start a new assignment on Wednesday, and all I intended to do this weekend was not completed. On the positive side, I did finish marking on time, which is great.

So I have been efficient, but sometimes there is a difficulty to concentrate and to be productive. Let’s respect that, by trying at the same time to reduce sugar and eat more fruit and vegetables.

How do we feel energised and focused?

Starting with berries and orange juice, and I should get hold of some quinoa and protein?

Also taking into account there are moments we work better and moments we need to recover or go slowly. Distinguishing between them could be the most important instead of pushing ourselves.

October 14, 2019- Monday Motivation in London

Hello October,

It’s Monday, it’s raining in London, and I feel I have been running behind goals, deadlines, etc. People expect things from me, I expect things from myself, and on top of that, I got to face a mini-virus.

Yes, starting something new is exciting, but it can also be stressful.

I am by my old gallery today, a powerful platform that gives me mixed feelings. I have had some hard times here and my self esteem has been tested.

But a platform also involves human beings that I like and appreciate. I have a small project with them.

Instead of thinking of whatever has been hurtful, let’s concentrate on what is inspiring right now.

Am I going to places for an external glow of power? This is meaningless, and it soon involves disappointments. On the other side, if it is to see it as a platform for meeting people and doing something together, then, it makes sense.

But it’s time I value myself more, my time, and the exposure to situations that are not bringing anything to my or anybody else’s growth.

So, farewell to anything that doesn’t serve this purpose!

And use difficult roads as fuel for our future growth!

yes, I met my deadline, it was a race against the clock, but I DID it!

I feel slow, sleepy and low energy. Too good its the weekend 🙂

February 10, 2018- Starting the week with energy and focus

Hello February,

to begin with, I need to go to the supermarket and get some vegetables and fruits. As healthy food as possible!

Decide if I will go to my work’s gym or close to home and just get enrolled!

What else?

Breathe?

Eh, decide about my future self?

I could be less associal, and let some people in to my life. Focusing on work is nice, but still, it’s a bit lonely.

I have a sense of direction, goals to achieve, but why do I stress up in the middle and doubt myself? Why even think about myself in the middle of action?

Three skills I need to develop. What about not being stressed in the middle of a challenge? I might have more in the future if i take up responsibilities.

Concentrating easily to finish my writing? Use deadlines?

December 6, 2017- Christmas is on its way!

Hello December,

after being grateful for finding a home, I went back to being afraid: I feel tired, and my goals seem still far. What if I don’t have the energy to do what I want?

My part-time job in the gallery is close to what I do, but it takes my time out of my creative energy for writing?

What if I get stuck there, in a limbo situation?

With half of the boxes from the move still closed, it is easy to think like that.

So, what do I do?

Have morning coffee, to begin with.

Secondly, I am blogging.

And thirdly, I will get an energizing drink, probably green, or ginger and lemon and turmeric to give me some extra energy.

Christmas is on its way!

Energy somehow will come back.

Getting some rest is also important 🙂

November 10, 2017- Luck, preparation and opportunity :-)

did you know that apparently, lucky people have an open mind and are ready to see the unexpected? “Luck may not so much be luck, but whether or not our mindset leaves us open to opportunities we would otherwise miss because we’re so absolutely sure of what we want”.

Ok, so how about being focused and finishing a task?

Can you do both?

Probably when you focus on an objective, but not on the specific way this objective should come into shape.

For example, let’s say you want to marry a sexy, gorgeous, rich and young man. Crazy in love with you etc.

You shouldn’t start saying that he should also have brown hair and blue eyes, and work in the film industry. Or say that you should only meet him through acquaintances. Or object to the fact that he has three cats and two dogs. And two kids from a former union.

The same thing with a job.

If the main objective is something inspiring, some flexibility is needed, I guess regarding the details. As to where on earth. For example.

October 8, 2017- Breathing in dreams, Breathing out fears

Hello October,

a Sunday morning in London, and I am already out after a walk and some breathing exercises. How do acrobats find balance? They are focused and breathe correctly, I guess.

We are also acrobats in life. We need balance and movement, focus and concentration. Fear is only useful to make us act. But if we are already moving, it could get on the way. A small amount of anything is good if it isn’t too much of it.

Have you seen these people wearing virtual reality devices who think they are walking close to the edge of a high building whereas they are sitting on a couch all the way?

We don’t need that.

We need a sense of urgency in a constructive way.

There is a bridge and we will walk this bridge to the next step, towards the realisation of ourselves and our deepest desires.

So let’s breath in, breath out and find our balance in mouvement!
